We did more than follow Judith Duerk‘s prompt from Circle of Stones to imagine….we actually created a place for our most authentic selves! In that place we moved, laughed, chanted, breathed, cried, and listened ourselves into a living answer. Looking back on it all recently I was deeply moved and reinspired.
I simply cannot imagine my life without those few years with all of you on Rose Avenue. What I learned under The Red Tent (little could I understand then) would prove ESSENTIAL to my survival of the years that immediately followed! I am so grateful. I‘ve thought often, with such appreciation, of YOU all - the women with whom I sat with in candlelight facing shadows and trusting in our most authentic, luminous selves!
I am finally ready to pick up threads from those days and weave them forward into my life now. It got me thinking…maybe others would welcome a similar experience. So….. Here’s your invite -to a one time circle up of re-membering ourselves - who we were, who we are (ever) becoming, in the place for us…
” A place where, after the fires were lighted, and the drumming, and the silence, you heard what the women call the Naming…each woman speaking slowly into the stillness, sharing her feelings of how she saw her life and what she wished to say of it...sharing it with the women around her…weaving the threads of her life into a fabric to be given and named. How might your life be different?” - Judith Duerk
